The actor is hell-bent on dubbing for his long-forgotten film, Zamaanat

For some reason or the other S Ramanathan’s film, the Big B-starrer Zamaanat, could never take off. This has been happening for more than five years now. Every time the promos come on air, one wonders if the film will ever see the light of day.

The film has been in news for all the wrong reasons. Now, we hear something even more scandalous. It so happened that Ramanathan could not wrap up his film since Bachchan got busy with a few other projects and could not spare the dates.

Ramanathan got so upset that he went ahead and got the Big B’s portions dubbed by singer Sudesh Bhonsle, whose voice has an uncanny resemblance to Big B’s voice. The incident happened about two years ago.

If one remembers, it was Amitabh Bachchan who promoted Sudesh as a singer. Sudesh also did the playback for Ajooba and Hum. The actor was furious when he came to know Bhonsle had dubbed for him without his permission. He immediately requested his inner circle of cronies to boycott Sudesh Bhonsle.

According to grapevine, the singer was jobless for almost two years. Now, finally they have patched up recently on the sets of Gangotri. But Amitabh is insistent on dubbing for his own role. Currently, the actor is trying to fit the dubbing shifts into his busy schedule.

Talks are on to release the film sometime this year.
