Let's speak German...

When Polly asks her boss at the phone to get information about the German names "Jennings" and "Totenkopf" she doesn't have to spell the names! Why? Because Americans doesn't have any problems with the German language. This can be proofed by a glimpse at the German newspaper headlines shown in the movie. "Schlechte Desends nach Landschaft" - this sentence really doesn't make any sense in German! The other headline says "Very big machines steal steal (twice, sic) reserves". Isn't there anybody to advice Hollywood in using foreign languages in the right way? Hey guys, I would do it for free just to avoid those painful faults. Nevertheless: The movie is great!

Kerry Conran said on the commentary that he typed english into an online translator to translate it into german. I believe he wrote the script before his dream to make the movie came true, so he probably didn't have enough money to hire a translator.

Nevertheless: The movie is great!
Agreed. It is one of my all-time favorites.
