Some answers about this documentary....
On Ebay I spotted a Region 3 (Thailand and area) DVD version Friday The 13th. Reportedly "uncut", this version differs from the North American version insofar as it has more gore and few minutes longer running time. In addition, the DVD contains this documentary, "Return To Crystal Lake". The oversees DVD was produced by Warner Bros., who saw fit (and rightly so) to reward fans with this bonus material beyond just the theatrical trailer.
There are many Friday the 13th sites which have petitions to Paramount requesting more detailed DVDs of the series be released, if not a full 1 - 8 box set with assorted goodies (commentaries, Alice Cooper's "He's Back" video, this documentary, to name a few). I encourage people to sign them and let Paramount know that if nothing else, there's money to be had in giving fans decent DVDs (I'd happily sell my current Friday the 13th DVDs in favor of "Special Edition" versions).
So, there you have it, a bit of an explanation on the above documentary. I haven't actually seen it, but if any ambitious soul wants to send me a Region 1 NTSC playable copy, I won't complain.
