The only thing I didnt understand from the movie was that part right after kenji and noi have dinner ... the music sounds like national anthem (from where?) there are a few people and then a guy from the army ... what's the matter with that?

the thai national anthem is played over the radio everyday at 8am.

It's played at 8 am and 6 pm, hence it playing when they were eating dinner
