Impossible to complete?

My friend & I have played this game countless times but no matter how hard we tried we could not defeat the final boss Deathbringer, I started to doubt that it was even possible... until a few days ago when we slaughtered him. I'm not quite sure how we pulled it off but here's some advice;

Choose Tyris Flare & save as much magic as possible for the final battle, she's not just good looking she's probably the best character.

Learn to use the side to side slash, it does alot of damage & comes in useful when you're surrounded. Another handy move is the running attack.

Try to not lose lives throughout the game, I know that seems obvious but having spare lives is important to beating Deathbringer as he has an infinite supply of magic that can hit you no matter where you are.

Ignore the skeletons, they're only put there to protect Deathbringer & once you kill him they will dissapear.

Good advice. Those skeletons are tough as hell. It's nice to play two player because one player can keep them skeletons at bay.

Haha, this game is so easy to beat, you just need a method.

Use any character, and save his/her magic for the final battle (obviously), and then downward thrust DB 'til he dies. Its SOOOO easy.

I used Gilius the Dwarf and found it very useful to have him jump in the air and hack to one side then turn mid-air and hack the other side. This way, he not only hit both sides and knocked them down, but kept himself safe when he landed so he could repeat the attack.

If you played 2 player, you can have your teammate fight the skeletons while you take on DeathBringer. It has been many years but I believe that the skeletons at the end are invincible.
