RIP Charly and bon chance Alain F

A fascinating follow-up in which we are reacquainted with some of the marvellous characters from the 2000 documentary. Sadly Charly has died. "The man with the Ho Chi Minh face", as Agnes described him. A cafe owner with whom he was friendly said that Charly's cane contained a sword. A detail I really liked. I'm glad to see Salomon getting along in the best way he knows how.

Also Alain F continues to inspire. He's living and working in the same way as before but has more company now. I don't think he's comfortable with the adulation and I think I understand why. When a woman tells him he's amazing he might well be thinking rather than look at me in amazement, do what you think is amazing; help others and recycle what would be wasted otherwise.

Love the many letters and gifts that people send Agnes. Good to hear about Claude as well.
