Are you quoting Ham Tyler from V in your signature line? I don't recognize the quote. 'Course, it's been awhile since I watched V: The Series...

reply

oh it was so bad. it seems like 2/3 of the way through, everyone realized what a steaming pile of crap it was and then just drank their way through production of the rest of the film. Reynolds shoulda been a Bea Authur type. At least Bea is camp.

reply

Crap crap crap. So bad I hate this movie! I have no idea why my school library has this pile of crap.

reply

An example of what not to do with film, maybe? On the plus side, it had Toni Collette. It's almost redeemed on that alone.

reply

loved it, just a fun feel good movie

reply

I liked it!

reply

WRONG WRONG WRONG

It wasn't cr*p.
I enjoyed it.
If you really want to see a GOOD movie about a woman pretending to be a man pretending to be a woman, rent Victor/Victoria .

I turned it off after about 40 minutes. I like the cast a lot and love and lot of "so bad they're good" kind of movies, but I just couldn't sit through this one. It was awful.

reply

I loved it.

No. it is truly bad and not fun at all. David Ducovny and Nia Vardolos are horrible in this.

Yeah, it's a horrible film, but it does have it's moments, like when Tibor starts to break out in song at a dinner theater production of Mame. The writing was very amateurish with coincidence after coincidence used to drive the plot forward. It could have been much better if Vardalos worked on the script for another year or so.

I also love bad movies, but this one didn't make me feel good watching it, as I really like Nia Vardalos and the positive energy she brings to her movies, or rather, My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

Once again Hollywood expects the audience to ignore yet another kick the pervert in the ass. Other than watching a comatose Duchovny totally clueless that Vardalos is a girl posing as a guy dressed as a drag queen [huh! Victor Victoria far and away from this drek] it's Hollywood attempting to wipe away the obvious attack on trannies with "Oh, how can you hate drag queens?" Anyone with half a brain would not get sidetracked from the elephant in the room, "How can Vardalos pass judgment on Duchovny's obtuse attitude when she's committing the ultimate slur." She's posing as a man dressed in drag and that is more anti trannie than Duchovny could ever be. At least Collette continually berates Vardalos for roping her into posing as drag queens. She knows it's totally wrong to slap an entire culture in the face simply to hide from the mob. [huh! Some Like It Hot did it a heluva lot better]

I think it was a decent commedy and I enjoyed many parts of the it. But the last 20 minutes were terrible. It was unbelievable the way they destroyed the story towards the end.
