Wonderful film.

Gianni (Kim Rossi Stuart) attempts to form a relationship with his handicapped son, Paolo (Andrea Rossi), now 15, whom he is meeting for the first time.
This Academy Award nominated film is moving and true. It is not interested in these two people before, or after, the here and now; we don’t know why Gianni is bothering to get involved in his son’s life for the first time (aside from his ex-wife’s passing), and we don’t quite enter RAIN MAN territory in the end, either. It’s just these two people for a while, learning to understand one another, finding mutual ground.

I won’t soon forget the moment father asks son to live with him, or the embrace that follows. Simple beauty.

I was going through Blockbuster and saw nothing I wanted so decided to just pick up anything so I wouldn't leave empty handed and this ended up being the movie I picked up. I just got done watching it and I absolutely loved it,I wasn't expecting it to be so beautiful. When the father asked his son to move in with him was so beautiful,I must admit I kept rewinding that part. He was so loving towards the son that he's only known for like a week.

Which award was it nominated for anyway? I didn't see it under awards on imdb

It's one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen. Very moving.

The movie has been recently released on VCD in Thailand. I couldn't agree more about all the ideas. I truly love this movie despite I rarely see drama movies. The end scene on the road is the most wonderful and beautiful! I've never relised that father-son love is so intense. Both Kim and Andrea act professionally. I wish they get luckier in their career.

I guess I will become one of Kim fan. The actor Kim is Italian, he can speak english. Maybe he can make it to Hollywood.

Beautiful film...(apart from wonderful film)

I just saw this movie 3 days ago. I'm truly loved this movie. It's so touched me. The end scene on the road and when father asked son to live with him are the most wonderful! I've become one of Kim's fan since two weeks ago I saw his another great movie "The red and black". I can't get him out from my mind during these days. He's the most beautiful and also great actor I've ever seen! I will love and support him all the time.

According to the information in IMDb, if you're talking about Acadamy awards, the movie itself wasn't nominated at all. But it was nominated in the following awards:

1. David di Donatello Awards (won best sound)
2. Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists (won best cinematography, best director and best sound)
3. Venice Film Festival (won best film and best actor)
4. Young Artist Awards

Again, the movie is beautiful!. KIM is already in one of my favourite actors.

Yes it is beautiful!!

That scene when Gianni asks him to move in with him is so moving, tears were running down on my face.

I hope Kim continues playing in films like this..
