No Copyright?

Has this series lost its copyright status? The Reason I am asking is that you can view the first 2 episodes of the series on Google Videos and on numerous other websites that show TV shows/movies/cartoons that have fallen out of copyright.

Unfortunately the last 2 episodes of the series are unavailable and if it has no copyright, then it should also mean that it cannot be distributed. That means no DVDs of the series. Yet I have heard you can purchase the DVDs from Netflix, although they are in German.

I have checked Amazon and numerous other websites and you cannot get the DVDs of the show. If this is true then I don't think we will ever be able to get the last 2 episodes, unless you have the series on VHS cassette.

Will 'Byzantium' find itself a distributor or will the last 2 episodes be posted on the web?

I don't know about the copyright issue but there is a Greek version of the DVD. The text in the menus and the DVD cover are in Greek but the audio is in English. I got mine from Ebay. It really is one of the best documentaries ever made.

In North America, this documentary is still available and was released on DVD by Koch Vision for the U.S. The Learning Channel. Online retailers like Amazon are still carrying it. This was a great documentary that bears rewatching, as it was dense with information, and highly entertaining.

I managed to get a DVD set from the Discovery Store but its availability kept changing so I don't know its status now on there. I bought it from there back in October 2006.
