How did so many ppl living underground for 100's of years manage to never have there skin change to a lighter color. There always tanned. I guess u could say its because the crystal keeps them young but what about the children that still act as children have they been that way all this time. or maybe theres an age limit when u stop again, so why isent atlantis overpopulated. lots of unanswered questions

Dude, that's like saying "Why don't black people living in Alaska get whiter and why aren't their children lighter skinned?" They all lived above ground where their evolution would have put darker tones to their skin (like latinos or asians or whatever), so it's skin tone, not tans.
Also, the whole children thing is answered by looking at elves in lore. They live thousands of years and generally have a low pop. They probably don't have many children. The kids were probably born *after* atlantis sunk, they can't be *that* old.

Someone mentioned how black people retain their skin color in cooler climates, this is a very good answer as, if you recall, Atlantians are just that, Atlantian. They're not white and therefore wouldnt pale as they tend to. My thought would be that (according to the actual legend) they would be more closely related to Hispanics than anything and they also dont pale as "tan" is there natural skin color.
As for the children, I'm not sure about this one. I heard in some movie/show (cant recall right now) that immortal born children cease aging after they reach adulthood (around 20 or so). This could be the type of immortality that the Atlantians possess and therefore children would continue to grow until they're body is mature and then stop until they no longer have a crystal.
And as far as over-population is concerned, remember.. They have a much different governmental structure than ours. Its highly probable that the king in his wisdom has foreseen this predicament and ordered a population limit such as Chinas. And its also possible that he will sanction a child to be birthed if a worker has an accident or goes missing on a scavenging run (as mentioned when we first meet the king in movie 1). Rememeber, not every country is as lenient as the United States/Britain/wherever you're from and the Atlantians also probably have no issue with this seeing as how they have literally centuries to wait and get laid lol.
