Some bad voice over work, eh.

I don't mind the voice being off sync with the mouths. I've seen enough anime as to not let it bother me. But the choices of some of the voices are bad. Such as Jimmy Fallon's character. His voice doesn't fit it at all. Even minor characters, like the old dusty Minimoy that Arthur meets when he's first shrunk, didn't have the "right" voices. And finally, Madonna's voice over work is just horrible. On another note, she never looked better.

I still enjoyed the movie. The animation was top-notch. I loved all the lighting & particle effects. Made the world of the Minimoys seem realistic.

I didn't notice the mouths being off that much, just in a few places.
Not being partial but Arthur's voice was perfect!
Beta should have been a little younger, but I still liked Beta and thought he was cute.
Selenia wasn't as bad as people were saying. But a tiny little bit off.
The asleep man was fine to me.

I loved the live-action parts. They felt good in my funky places.

The European version (in english) had a different actor for Beta and the old minimoy than what was heard in the USA/UK version, plus Madona's voice was transposed a semi-tone higher to make her sound slightly yonger in the USA/UK ver. If you dont believe me then go watch the deleted scence in YouTube.

search: "deleted minimoys" in Youtube and compare them to you USA/UK versions and you'll notice a few differences like how Beta sounds completly different.

In the Euro ver.The old minimoy actually sounds like an old man, even many of the bad guys are different.(Dont ask me why the changes)

Madonna's supposed character Princess Selenia sounds nothing like here!! and its freaking me out. Am I the only that noticed. i'm usually good at recognizing voices with faces, and when I first heard her, I assumed the voice of Meg Ryan's. It sounds just like her. Well it sounds more like her, than it does madonna. When i saw the credits, I thought there must be a mistake. It upsets me. I love the movie, but not Madonna. If they had to alter her voice so that it would fit the movie, then they should of gotten someone else for the job.

The only one who had a good voice over in this movie was David Bowie!!

In the original the voices were in French, that's why the English voices appear to be out of sync.
