Am I the only one that loved this movie?

It was just on TV. From what I can gather, I just watched the uncut English version. I thought it was great, not hard to follow, and a really nice movie, overall. I was surprised that I liked it, being a teenage guy watching a movie that seemed to be aimed at preteen girls at first glance, but I did. I don't really understand the overall negative vibe I'm getting from this board.

Wait, I'm confused. I just read that topic, and it seemed to have the French scenes and dialogue... in English. That IS the uncut version, right?

The movie was originally in French, as was the book. The live-action scenes were reshot with English dialogue.

There is also an uncut English version. You can find the scenes on YouTube, and watch the full uncut movie in English online.

No, you're not the only one who liked this movie. I enjoyed it, too. It was very cute.

reply

Probably. I thought it was awful.

reply

No you're not the only one. I actually liked it as well and just ordered the books (yes, there are books, this movie is actually a combination of both books) on Amazon.

It was a pleasnat surprise. I thought it was going to be really stupid, but ended up really enjoying it.

“Love” is too strong to describe my reaction, but “”like” or “enjoy” are not, and it’s impossible to dislike a movie with David Bowie, playing a creature who eats insects; and that also has a wind-up 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO!
