Melvin Lee (Armani) was intense

Was anyone else captivated by Armani played by Melvin Lee? I couldn't take my eyes off of him (except for when he was cutting himself). I assume Melvin was one of the few real actors in the movie seeing as he was in a few films. I have no idea how he could cut himself like that, I thought I was going to throw up. Anyway, I think he's such a charismatic actor and I wish he had more screen time.

Yeah, the Armani character was a great performance. Personally my favourite character was Shaun, he just seemed so bored all the time that it was funny.

I liked that part as well. It's a long scene, one long take. If you look you can see some of the other teenagers sat next to him at one point.
I think this was a scene where the teenagers themselves were holding the camera. Improvised, on the spot maybe.

I watched this film with a Chinese friend. When Armani is on the bus we can hear people talking in the background but there are no subtitles. My friend was able to tell me that they were telling Armani not to do what he was going to do and were trying to convince him that it was a bad idea. However his friends seemed to be fine with the idea of what he was going to do as they helped him so far to that point. Therefore i always thought it was the director himself trying to convince Armani that doing what he wanted to do was a bad idea
