Ok, does anyone have anything to say about this movie? I saw it yesterday and I loved it, although it was quite depressing..

I loved this film, also. I saw it at school last year during an Asian FilmFest, and I saw the full-length version. The comments on the IMDB site have someone saying the full lenght version was bad... but I loved it. Evidently it was also banned in Singapore because the government denies the existence of the gangs the film depicted. Great film. made me cry. :)

for an open discussion on such an intense film Im surprised that people do not have more to say. I just finished watching the DVD and i think it was excellent. I was hoping to find some insight on the actual making of the film. I get the impression that non professional actors were used and im curious to learn more. Regardless of professionals or not, i really liked this film, and i believe the "music video" or "songs from the chorus" segments, whatever you want to call them, were genius.

I know you posted this a long time ago but the kids in the film were all real street kids and they played themselves. And in some parts the film didn't have a script and the director just set up a camera in a room and asked them to talk about anything. In one part he even gave them a camera to go away and film something, which was them getting tattoos. The music 'rap' in the film was their real life gang rap, and the people they had fights with were their real enemys, even though it was staged for the film. And on a last note one of the boys didn't turn up to filming one morning and it wasn't till later the director found out that the boy had stabbed somebody outside a restraunt and was arrested.

Saw this few months ago and loved it. Yeah, some say it's full of teenage-angst and this babble about hard and meaningless life etc. But sometimes it's like that and this movie shows it well. Think this was a beautiful film. I find it kind of funny and kind of sad (with irony!) that sometimes the best help your friend can give to you is to help finding the best building to jump off. I liked 15's visual outlook and I adored this depressive but ah so beautiful story...at the same time acknowledging that this movie is made to provoke and violent parts are on purpose made to seem cool. So what? Sometimes you need to feel despair, and sometimes it's really beauty.

I've got this on order, but it looks like it'll be a while as it’s an import. I'll let you know what I think when I’ve watched it.

I just thought I’d share a good review I’ve found for now:
