The song was written and sung by Mort Shuman, one of Elvis's songwriters, who elected to live in France.
It's a good song, good lyrics, by the way. It was a hit and he was quite famous in France for a while.
It's about a plane, "PTC", lost in the Bermuda Triangle and lyrics centers on the conversation between a radio operator and the pilot. Lyrics are double-entendre, of course.
It's a really silly song - at least in English, but I can't get the bloody thing out of my head.
