Best/Worst of 05

It was an interesting year because according to all the lists I've read, everyone has a totally differnet opinion on the year's best and worst. Reviewing the year, it wasn't all bad. There were about 15 movies that I couldn't put in my Top 10, but oh well. I could just hear all the people bashing me for my list too. Oh well.

I completely agree, except that I have problems with A History of Violence. I think it was overrated and that there's less to it than meets the eye. The writing about it is better than the film itself. I think Crash is pretentious and empty, and hate that it beat out Brokeback Mountain at the Academy Awards for best picture; it has good performances in it though, and is hardly "one of the worst" ever.
