Wow, look at the recommendations for this movie: The Godfather, City of God, Requiem for a Dream, and New Jack City, the latter being the only one with anything in common with this movie. In-freaking-credible.

Just about to make a similar thread. For me it said American Beauty, City of God, Scarface and Trainspotting... For some reason I am skeptical.

Unless it features Paris Hilton being seduced by Kevin Spacey in the slums of Rio de Janeiro, whilst trying to give up heroin and at the same time conquer the cocaine trade.
