Is it legal to download this considering the compnay that own the rights are bankrupt? I grew up watching this film. I taped it from the BBC when I was about 5 and watched it for the next ten tears. Would love to see it again.

shareIn sweden it is NOT legal. It is considered an orphan-work and is doomed to live a lonely life until the copyright has expired.
Since today, 2009-04-23, the EU has extended the copyright from 50 to 70 years, you just have to hope that a copy will survive until year 2050.
If anybody at all seem to think this is mad, please consider voting for your local Pirateparty in the next location. We need a bit saner copyrightlaws I think. . . . :-(
