Alexis (Henry's Assistant)...Man or Woman???

Henry Roth (Adam Sandler) has an assistant he calls Alexis...but is he/she, a man or a woman??? Near the beginning of the film he says to the Walrus, that "SHE (Alexis) deserved the fish slap! But then just a few minutes later, he/she proposes to Henry that he/she "will become naked in his office", which Henry replies..."I'm not into GUYS"??? It's so confusing. Just wanted to see what anyone else thinks?!

"Delor En El Asno means pain in the ass, i thought it would help when you introduce yourself"

Understatement of the fickin' century.

Gee, first of all, Alexis is a female name only. Secondly, she has a female hairdo. Thirdly, she is very fine-boned. The "humour" about her appearance, given she was styled in a very ugly manner and did not act particularly feminine, was really just a cheap shot at someone who doesn't at all match what women are expected to be. And someone who works with animals doesn't have much need to do that because the animals sure don't need it, and it's going to be dirty work at times, anyway. Another character that didn't quite work for me, in this film.

I want to like it, and I love the female lead even though there is not much to her role here and she's overly cliche cute female, just a cardboard foil for Sandler's role.

The whole movie kinda frustrates me becuase I think it could have been done so much more sensitively, deeply, and more funny, too.

No question she's a woman. Henry just wasn't interested and thought of something to say in order to turn her off quickly
