Is this Sandler's best movie?

I'm gonna with yes since I barely felt annoyed by looking at him through the movie

I agree, never liked him in anything, but he was ok throughout almost the entire movie.

Yeah, that's funny how he is just kind of annoying to look at. Something about his grin is very off-putting, like there's something nasty there. Or back in the SNL days, that grin always said to me "I'm a jerk, and that's funny." I don't mean to bash the guy at all, but I just find him off-putting.

On the other hand, that Seth Rogen, even though I hate pothead humour of all kinds, there is something irresistible about his grin and his attitude that doesn't come off somehow superieor, like Sandler.

(I don't get it, and I don't understand people. It's weird.)

But the movie where I liked him best was the Wedding Singer. I actually LIKED him in that one, and he didn't have that Sandler smirk that I tend to see, that nasty tinge. Hmmm...

I found Seth Rogen quite attractive

I'm not proud of myself

How long did it take to train the animals?

I agree he very much was not annoying in this as he was in The Waterboy, Zohan, Jack and Jill, etc.

I'm also glad they did not go with a cliched happy ending where Lucy beats her amnesia and instead they just accept it and learn to deal with it so that she can move on and have a family and not be hindered by her handicap.

I liked him in this, the wedding singer, Big Daddy and Punch Drunk Love. His movies tend to be goofy, but it's up to the audience to decide to watch them. I dont mind his work.

reply

I like "The Wedding Singer" better.

reply

No it is not. It only elicited a few amused chuckles from me the entire movie - usually when the really old Hawaiian guy made some comment.

50 First Dates Was The Last Good True Adam Sandler Movie

Adam Sandler continues to enjoy financial success with Hubie Halloween, but the last good movie to rely on his unique style was 2004’s 50 First Dates.
