I felt cheated at the end... (SPOILERS)

I sat there for a while thinking that Matthew was going to be a new love interest for the daughter, since she made the statement about "he's the one who found the lump" and then the guy dumped her- when her dad was asking about her latest boyfriend... I thought maybe the daughter was going to end up with cancer and he was going to love and accept her unlike the guy who abandoned her yada yada...

I certainly wasn't expecting a Christmas healing story to be about a ghost- I would have expected that on Lifetime Movies, not Hallmark...

I thought the movie was perfect.

I kinda felt that way.

But I don't think you can consider him a "ghost" -- unless a ghost can take the form of another man. See I'm used to sci-fi/fantasy stories. To me this was like a Twilight Zone episode. You can't really explain a miracle -- and that's what it was -- a Christmas miracle.

I know you wrote this a while ago, but I agree with you. I definitely thought the guy was going to end up with the daughter.

The fact that he was supposed to be the spirit of her dead brother? eh.

I felt cheated too, but I didn't want him to end up with the daughter. I always thought that Matthew actually knew John, but had pretended to George that he didn't. I expected to find out at the end that he'd really known George's son.

I've watched this film a few times over the years, but never caught the very end of it. I finally watched the ending and it ruined the whole film for me. I don't think I can watch it again, now that I know about the cheese ending.
