Was the Christmas Visitor.......

The son John?

A ghost of the son John?

A random stranger who knew John? (Or didn't know John?)

If he didn't know him, then how did he know so much about him?

I thought maybe it was the son John because he has the scar on his shoulder at the end.

Opinions? Thoughts? Views? 

It was the ghost of John in human form.
