Whopping Price Difference

I bought this from Wal-Mart's bargain bin for $5.50(US). It has 3 trailers and Spanish sub-titles, but no other features.

I saw a User Comment mention a commentary, looked it up on Amazon and found it listed for $22.48(US) without a commentary. Let me make this clear: Amazon lists no extras of any sort, not even trailers and/or subtitles, yet it wants approximately 4 times the price I paid!

[EDIT/ADDITION: I got curious and checked the price for the VHS. It's $57.98 on Amazon.]

Geez ...

Here it costs the equivalent of 2 USD...

That's a good price, yes? Where are you? I'm in Central Florida, the area they call East Orange County.

EDIT: make that *West* Orange County, though I've just moved and have no idea where I am anymore. LOL

I watched it on Videon on Demand, no commercials or edits..for $2.50 and recorded it on dvd.

I certainly would not buy this movie, even at walmart prices...however as a movie with Canadian interests...I wanted to see it.

It was unusual, something I have grown to enjoy in movies. A good spooky movie with an unexpected home country connection.

I do not want to move back to BC however.

Don't waste precious time on things you don't enjoy.

Sounds like you got a fair deal. I don't have pay-TV so I haunt the bargain bin when I can.

A got this as part of my subscription to the William Shatner DVD Club (monthly movie personally picked by Bill--yeah, right--for my viewing pleasure) a year's subscription (total of 14 movies) was $48. The jury's still out on whether it's a good deal or not, but this one tips the scale slightly toward "yes".

Hi tremain63. I never heard of that Club before, but 14 for $48 sounds pretty good to me. On the other hand, I often like the really bad ones for odd reasons no one else understands, so my sense of value probably isn't similar to yours. Thanks for the info.

It's called free enterprise... I have a copy I got for $1.00 - could list it on Amazon for $120.00 - some nut would buy it. Just take a look on Ebay and see people paying more for items there than it costs to go out and buy them...

Sad, but true...
