When and how did Johan die?
Okay I've watched the movie recently and I'm still not sure when exactly Johan was supposed to have gotten killed when the monster was inside the mine the entire time.

There's more than one "walking" ant colony out there- another one got him- hence the company sealing off the area at the end, and the second queen in the box in the back of the taxi...
