What happened to Wayne?

Love the show but I have noticed that Wayne has been replaced in the second season by a stylist named Clinton. I am sure he will be fine but I really liked Wayne. I would LOVE to go shopiing with him one day.

*I am free of all prejudice, I hate everyone equally* :)
Wayne left the show, but I'm not really sure why. Anyway, I always liked Stacy better, and Clinton gets some great jokes in, especially by way of the three way mirror.

reply

i miss wayne. he was the reason i watched this show.

reply

whatever the reason may be that wayne left, he's now justin timberlake's personal fashionista. you can see him on "the fabulous life of justin timberlake" that airs on vh1 every 3 minutes or so, but i urge you, don't stare directly at the conspicuous consumption :)

I prefer the BBC What Not To Wear, but it isn't on as much anymore. Personally, I could not bear to watch the American version while Wayne was on, now that Clinton's on I can stand it.

This is the page for the british version! There was never a wayne! 'Get it right!

The British version is much better. The American version put the ugliest crap on people.

reply

I don't think the British version is better just different. The clothes they put on the people in the American version is very much NY some people may not like it just like some people may not like the British style. But I think you have to be open minded when it comes to fashion a problem most of the people on these shows have is that they are afraid to go out of there comfort zone and instead become fashion victims that everyone makes fun of. There friends and family anyway.

reply

But I'm from NYC, and I hate the American What Not To Wear.

reply

First of all, it kind of bugs me that people are posting stuff about the American "What Not To Wear" on the British series' board. But whatever.

My two cents is that the British version of What Not To Wear is the original and the best. I don't think it loses anything in the translation to the American or Australian screens. The Oz and US networks should just make a new show, not try to remake WNTW.

From what I've gather from reading the board, because I haven't seen the American version, is that it's more fashion based.

Trinny and Susannah say, it's not about following the current "in" fashion, but to create your own style featuring clothes that suit your body. The American one seems to be more about what's hot right now, and plastering that over people, which sounds kind of superficial.

I love Trinny and Susannah so much, and it bugs me that they're getting remade with presenters who aren't a touch on them.

I've seen the American version. It's not about what's hot right now and it's not as bad and superficial as it seems, in my opinion. They just have a different approach, but they have the same goal in mind: help the person shop for clothes, feel better about themselves, etc.

reply

wayne was never on the BRITISH version of what not to wear. which is what this board is about.

reply

Who the hell is Wayne??
The only presenters on WNTW are Trinny and Susannah. Who are you on about??

reply

Talking about presenters, have you seen the bbc web page! Trinny and Susannah won't be the hosts anymore! What is up with that? Can anyone tell me why?

reply

Trinny and Susannah have gone to ITV instead and are now doing another program, which is called Trinny and Susannah Undress. I dno't like it as much though! Mica Paris and Lisa Butcher have taken over their BBC jobs.

reply

I used to like the British version better, but now Trinny and Susannah have left the US version is much the better of the two shows!
