typical phony white saviours
From the mouths of the new black panther party. And as someone of color myself i have to agree with them in that respect.

shareThe "new" black panther party is a bunch of racist clowns. To cite them in trying to bolster whatever point you're making just shows how intellectually bereft you are.

They r only racists in the eyes of white people and u call them racists cause u don't like them speaking the truth. But in any case i never said i agreed with everything they said. But they r spot on with the WU. Groups like these have been trying to steal blacks and other colored folks causes for the last centurry and take credit for there sacrifices even though we never asked for these white peoples help to begin with. If they are not false white saviours then what do u think they r?

Yeah yeah yeah....the KKK also claimed to be vilified only because they had the guts to tell it like it is about the supposed inferiority of black people. That's a really stupid argument. Any racist group can always claim, and usually does, that they are marginalized for daring to tell the truth.
U didn't answer my main question. If they are not false white saviours then what r they?

Conscientious objectors. There.
Ok then. Well thats ur opinion but at the end of the day unless u r black or some other minority then how do you know whether these people did anything for us outside create publicity for there cause which used the plight of minorities to justify there terrorism?

You are misguided. The primary reason, far and away the most important reason, for the existence of the Weather Underground was the Vietnam war. The exploitation and poor living conditions of minorities in America was an add-on issue. Without the Vietnam War the WU doesn't exist. Period. As far as I can tell, however, their desire to partner with minority organizations and help them combat racism in America was genuine, but secondary. Your calling them phony saviors is complete nonsense. They tried to partner up with the Black Panthers, but the racists within that party refused. So what? The WU never advertised themselves as saviors of black Americans. They simply expressed anger toward the powers that be for their treatment of minorities, black people specifically. Again, so what? How does this make them phony? Cite one piece of evidence indicating that the WU discriminated against black people joining their group, or any other activity which was in any way directed against black Americans. My opinion is that you're just a racist yourself, spouting a bunch of jive nonsense to distance yourself from anyone who isn't black, most particularly white people.
Well said, ccr1633.

Kid say whatever u want the fact is unless your black or a person of color then who the hell are you to talk about what is and isn't racist when u have probably never experienced true racism in your entire life?
shareI'm white and I agree they were phony white saviors. I didn't see nay blacks in their organization and they felt they had to help the blacks succeed. The Panthers were smart to reject them. The SDS was like Charles Manson in that he thought the black revolution would be successful, but the blacks would need him to run the country after their victory.
Obviously they weren't quite as insane as Manson, but morel or less thought only they could save the black man. Yet they were amateurs.

This thread is sad and hilarious at the same time, because over 40 years later it's still appararent how little insight has been gained for the mistakes of the past. Instead of realizing that only by working together could the myriad revolutionary counter-culture groups of the 60's actually have had a chance at effecting real change in America, the silly old arguments of "my gang were more revolutionary than yours were" are still getting bandied about. No wonder all these clowns ultimately changed nothing.
This is very hard to read, isn't it?
nyshyguy84 is a racist inferior delusional miserable clown. He should not be taken seriously.
