I'm sorry but a 5.9 rating for this movie is ABSURD !!! I think when it comes to ratings on IMDB for comedy films people just shyt on it. This movie was absolutely hysterical and didn't need gross humor or stupid amounts of nudity. Philip Seymour Hoffman maybe played his funniest role ever and besides Stiller , Hank Azzaria was really funny as well. I'm sorry but if you rated this movie below a 7 you must have absolutely no sense of humor in you. A 5.9 just doesn't fit this Gem at all

Agreed it's actually very good. Comedies tend to score low though for some reason.

Totally agree. Also loved seeing Bryan Brown and Alec Baldwin, just having fun, Debra Messing's big eyes and Polly's ferret was a scene-stealer of major proportions. A solid 7 from me.🐭

I watched this for the first time and I was almost shocked at how funny it was and how well cast.

And i'm a guy who thinks Something About Mary isn't very funny.

Ben Stiller and PSH were both amazing.
