The 2 Hours That I Can Never Get Back

Along Came Polly is one of those films which, when it was over, made me realise that the two hours I spent watching it can never be returned. Ever. If I could somehow sue the film-makers to return these hours of my life I would, but I can't.

I'm not talking about bad films here, I love bad films, I'm talking about egregious invasions of my time and intellect which promise infinitely more than they deliver. They are films that I watch until the end because I really do want to be convinced as to their worth which turns out to be absolute zero.

But the movie is only 90 minutes so what happened with the other 30?

But seriously, Along Came Polly on a worst of list?

I mean, it's not Raging Bull, but hey, Hoffman alone is so wonderful in this film.

It's well written and well executed. Stiller is great as usual.

Aniston, what can you say. She is so naturally hot. And she is way under rated as an actress.

I think this film hits the mark.

But I will always go back to Hoffman. He makes this film. I think it's Oscar worthy, and I'm not kidding.

You went to Along Came Polly expecting time to be spent in a valuable way? What? Did you think you were going to discover physics secrets of the universe while watching it or something? It's a romantic comedy. How much of an impact on your life did you expect it to have?
