well since he had a huge cross tattoo'd on his back with the words exodus 18:11, im gonna go with christian
shareTupac didn't have a religion, but he knows God exists. "Only God Can Judge Me".
shareHe was muslim, but he talks to / about God in many songs, like So Many Tears, Only God Can Judge Me etc.
shareNO he wasnt a muslim, he was actually christian or not but diffinantley not muslim
shareHe probably was cuz if u listen 2 bomb 1st(my 2nd reply) which is the first track in the 7 day theory album and the begining of his lyrics mentioned "Allow me to introduce first {*gunshot fires*} Makaveli the Don
Hysterical, spiritual lyrics like the holy Qu'Ran"
so why would he mention the Qur'an if he was christian or wasn't a muslim.
Again he has a HUGE cross on his bak that says Exodus 18:11 which means,"Exodus 18:11,"Now i know that the lord is greater than all gods: for in the things wherein they dealt proudly he was above them", which was considered a Chirstian old testament. With that said, i still can't tell which religion he is.

He mentioned the Bible several times not just the Quran
shareSaying something like "Hysterical, spiritual lyrics like the holy Qu'Ran" doesn't make him a muslim, no more than acknowleding Jesus was a jew makes me jewish.
He was a non-sect christian, but a majority of the Outlawz were muslim.
Although, I can't imagine any of them being devout members of their religion given the way they lived their lives.
If I had to categorize his belief system, I would say Christian. I mean he believed in God, quoted from the Bible semi-regularly, and showed a devotion to, or at the very least a deep respect for, Jesus ("I've been feeling like I'm close to Jesus", and the quote on the front cover of Killuminati, etc.) Plus, whenever he speaks of God in specific way, it's usually in a Judeo-Christian manner (such as using phrases like "Heavenly Father",which is a phrase I've never heard a Muslim use, and calling him Jehovah)
the guy was confused. he wouldve eventually became Muslim. 'Pac respected Islam and the Muslims he knew. As evidenced in "I aint mad at ya". even the guy himself was pro-justice, anti-oppression, against white superiority whether in real life, mentally or via the culture etc---these are more akin to Islam and Muslims than Christians.
shareresponse to lhamud........he was not confused he just knew and understood each religion, I believe in a higher power but I have no religion, I'm non-denomination. I believe in no-one rules because it's all man created.I also do not believe in Jesus.
shareI don't think he was confused, nor do I think he would have eventually became a Muslim. If anything the song "I ain't mad at 'cha" showed that, while he respected his friend for following that religion, he wouldn't be following it himself. I don't know of any instance where Tupac refers to "Muhammad" or "Allah" in song, and if he did, it certainly wasn't to the extent of which he talked about "Jesus" and "Jehovah". I think he was non-denominational and didn't really belong to a religion, but I also think you could call his belief system a form of Christianity, even tho he didn't "belong" to any denomination inside of that religion.
sharehe wears the cross as a chain, mentions the bible and/or God numberous times in songs and quotes, has a cross tatted on his back with the reference exodus 1831, has jesus on the cross burning tatted on his arm. he is no doubt a christian or catholic.

Thought it would be interesting to post this here:

Not saying that Pac was a muslim, but you can obviously tell that he had sympathy for islam

Many claim that the Exodus cross quotes the Bible verse 18:11 but that's wrong. Inside the cross it's written "1831". 1831 was the year of Nat Turners slave revolt. The biggest slave uprising in U.S. history began on the night of August 23, 1831, when Turner and seven fellow slaves murdered their master and his family while they slept, and then set out on a campaign of brutal murder that terrorized the countryside and killed 55 white people. Nat Turner was later captured and hanged.
Yea but if it says Exodus 18:11 what else would it be referring to?

Do you people think he was Muslim because his last name is Arabic?

He might just be a believer with no certain religion, since most religions just doesn`t fit everybody.
He believes in god, but that doesn`t mean he wants to follow the rules of people who claim to be in touch with god (whatever they might name him).
Tupac did not belong to a specific denomination, but was an avid believer in the teachings of Brother William Marrion Branham. In fact, the idea to stage the death of Makavelli grew from his interpretation of Mr. Branham's prophecies.
Make no mistake about it...Tupac is alive and living in Cuba under the name Lesane Parrish Crooks.
dont talk **** the guy is dead man, let him rest. And why would he use his real name?
shareHe didn't have one.
shareRight. He didn't have a specific religion. He was probably skeptical of all religions, and believed in a "higher power", but none of that organized religious crap. And good for Tupac for thinking that way. Read the Vibe interview he gave a few months before he died...he was specifically asked "What religion are you"?

Tupac said he believed in God.
But, in the song "smile" he said something about selling his soul and it wasn't to God or Jesus.
Just something to think about.
You all need to go to youtube and look up the truth behind Hip Hop and the name G. Craige Lewis from EX-Ministries.
Also, listen to William Cooper.
Look for anything by William Cooper and listen to his entire series entitled,
"Mystery Babylon."
In the beging of the movie. He knows his death was in GOD'S hands.
He was very appreciative to God for what he was able to do in life!
Ha, I thought you were starting a Tupac religion. I got all excited, sounds like a belief I can get behind. In fact I'm starting the Church of Tupac. All praise be to Pac. In Pac we trust, in the name of the weed and the 40 and holy pussy, thuglife.
