...the ones behind Dowd, with the pictures of Duane Allman and Eric Clapton....where/what are those things (and don't say stained glass windows)? I've also seen one of Santana...is this like a church of rock and roll or something?
shareSorry DAC, those are indeed stained glass windows in the shot behind Tom Dowd. They are in the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Miami. Mr. Dowd had been photographed there several times for magazine and newspaper stories before, and we used the location as a backdrop to relate his role in the meeting of Eric and Duane. I'm sure there are some clinking glasses and waiter noise as they were preparing for lunch. We had to shoot and skedaddle.
