brown recluse spiders....

first off I want to say that the thing that amazes me most about this rather forgettable silly horror movie is the breed of Loxosceles spider they chose to be the harbingers of doom ... these spiders have evolved to have such a ruthless venom that it literally decapitates phospholipid molecules - causing necrosis so severe it could only be compared to the trauma of a skin graft... (imagine: the bite continues to grow deeper and more severe even after the spider runs away or is killed - hm, is this maybe a metaphor for all dogmatic thought...?)

it's fascinating to think that God created these little creatures over 100 million years ago to teach us a valuable lesson about bullying goth kids... truly the Lord works in mysterious ways...
