Why all the bashing?

I only know a few people who saw ham and cheese and they said it was not that bad. They were right it is better than a soso film all in all. It is worth more than 5 of 10 on imdb or maybe some people aren't getting it? Or maybe I just do not have the good sense of humor?
I liked David Foley in it the most. I recognize some of the faces in the film like the guy in the acting troop who worships the weird troop leader, Dwayne Hill is a comedian he played the guy who invites the bad actor to do standup show. The pothead guy who the other bad actor moves in with does tons of commercials and he is funny and he is also in the tournament on cbc (hockey comedy show, not so good). Of course Samantha bee from the daily show and she was good in her small part. Scott Thompson was very good as the director of the b movie.
This film is not great by any reach but I would say it is worth seeing on t.v. or maybe a rent. It is not as bad as the reviews have said or as some word of mouth is.

I wouldn't say it's the worst film ever or even terrible. There are a lot of worse movies. But truthfully Ham and Cheese was a real waste of time to me. I don't automatically hate low budget movies but I thought the quality was pretty low, and a lot of the performances were awful (i.e. the fat guy, the people in the acting troupe). Dave Foley was okay but very misused and under used. One or two okay scenes but over all no big laughs, not a great story, predictable. I would say 3 out of 10.

I believe that was the intention of "The Fat Guy, and the People in the Acting Troupe"...the CHARACTERS were talentless, and blinded towards it too, but that has no reflection on the performances of the actors playing in the film.

Just watched this movie again last night, and yes, it's still as brilliant as the first time I saw it on The Movie Network during the Superbowl a few years ago!!!
