Don't say "no offense" and then say something offensive.

Aww man( or girl lol), it was so hilarious when he kicked Eigil. Poor Eigil went from sweet lad to the pissed guy screaming " Why do you have to such an a!% hole... ughhh oww!

Don't know if any of you have already seen them, but you should watch both "Blinkende lygter" and "Adams Æbler".

"La Grande Bouffe" is a masterpiece of black humour and despair: a portrait of our society. It was a big scandal in Festival de Cannes 1973!

This movie was not at all funny to me. I felt sorry for Eigil's character, and took the movie very seriously on all levels. I didn't get to see the first half of the movie, so I probably missed out on alot of points, but my experience with the second half of the film was that of a dramatic effect. What is even remotely funny about killing people for human consumption, I will never know. Am I missing something here?

Blaze the weed up there!
Blaze that sh!t up nigha, yeahhh!!!

reply

Yes, you are missing alot. They are not just killing people because they like it, the first was by accident. And from memory now, its been a long time since i've seen the movie, the were going to be shutdown anyhow. Thats why the landlord was minced. Don't think they had any customers in the first place till they started feeding human meat.

I thought this movie was a riot Svend was hilarious it was a very well acted and entertaining film: 7/10

reply

I can watch it again and again, and I have. A great "follow-up" to "Flashing Lights", although I really did not like "Adams Æbler". Some of the lines in this film are just classic, I can remember we used to call each other "Svend Svette" when I was in the Army and showed the DVD to some of other guys. Great use of all the actors, and a strange and nasty story with lots of black humour.

reply

Saw it just then and yes it's very funny and also moving.

reply

Yes, so under rated. I don't even speak the language and it was even funny to read the movie.

reply

I don't speak Danish either but my fellow translator (I saw the English-subtitled movie on youtube) and it was great!! I loved the movie just like I love Danish films. They are intense and unpredictable.
