Aspect Ratio

I was going to buy this movie from Amazon.ca, but I noticed that there are two versions available: one with 1.85:1 and one with 1.33:1. According to IMDB, the aspect ratio of this movie is supposed to be 1.66:1.
So, does this mean that both of them have an incorrect aspect ratio? Does this mean that, if I want to watch this movie, I have to decide whether I would prefer to have the sides chopped off or the top and bottom chopped off? Is there any way I can get to see the whole movie?

If there are 1.66:1 and 1.33:1 versions, both must be chopped off on the sides.
IMDb says the cinematographic process is HDCAM (1080p/24) which means it was shot in 1.78:1. I've seen the film on Swiss TV a couple of days ago, where it was shown in 1.78:1, which seemed perfectly right. The German DVD also shows it in that ratio, according to Amazon.de.
