How Sam and Victoria just brought this strange guy into their lives. Let him stay there and fed him for ages without going to the police or trying to find out about him.

I agree it didn't make a lick of sense. Any normal person would have called an ambulance when Danny collasped in the antique store. The police would have also been notified. It's a good movie and I like it but there is a lot wrong with it plot wise.

There is special and accepting, and then there is not taking someone to a hospital when they are injured and then having said random stranger live with them. Also we actually got a lot of their backstory.
