unclaimed people

California has a website of unclaimed people like the ones in this film. I do genealogy and it isn't that hard to find next of kin with internet access to databases. I realize in many cases relatives may not want anything to do with te deceased.

I read some articles about WBBM radio in Chicago and also in Dallas where they found county officials doing a sorry job. The reporter had no problem locating people who cared. Many of the men were veterans who had served in wartime and even won medals. Chicago and Dallas now have veterans groups that see that they get buried in a military cemetery with an honor guard. Its the least they can do.
