Ok, TELL me there are such camps in existance.

I would love to go to such a place - doing THAT many shows, that much money spent, that high quality sets/bands.... Even a gay friendly, colour blind place. Any such in existance?? That would be an awesome way to express some of the Judy Garland inside of me...

What the hell's wrong with expressing yourself?

Yep. At the camp it was filmed and takes place at: Stagedoor Manor.. Check out the movie 'Stagedoor' to see the documentary version of the real place.

I looked it up last night. It looks AMAZING. It also looks like it costs like 5000 dollars!!

there's Stagedoor Manor in New York and Interlochen in Michigan. They also have a school. Those are the two that I know of, you could probably do some research into other ones that may be closer to where you live, if you don't want to go too far away from home. You could probably also find smaller, cheaper ones. But they probably wouldn't have the same quality of facilities and resources. If you really wanted to go badly but couldn't afford it, I'm sure you could contact them about scholarships or financial aid. A lot of the big camps are run sort of like a prep school in that way.

French Woods, Interlochen, Idylwild, to name a few

I know this was forever ago, but for future reference:

Stagedoor Manor and Perry Mansfield are the most like this film. There's also French Woods, Interlochen, Idyllwild (only for under 13), Long Lake, Buck's Rock, Blue Lake... those are other very campy-camps. There are also a ton of pre-college programs and intensives.
