BOYS FROM SECOND STREET PARK

Where can one find this documentary in the new york area???

reply

It hasn't been released for rental yet. Showtime is doing repeated screenings. You might try calling Dan Klores, he's a publicist in New York, he might be willing to hook you up since it's his labor of love. It's really freaking good.

Gandhi would've smacked you.

Just caught this, by chance, last night on Showtime and really, really enjoyed it! Wonderfully done and you really feel you get to know these guys! Wonderful!

I just caught part of it, and I'm trying to find where I can buy it now so I can see the rest. I'm blown away. The 40 minutes or so that I saw was absolutely phenomenal. Not to give a spoiler, but when that one gentlemen, sitting so you're just seeing him from the side as he talks, tells the story of his son... I can't remember ever being so compelled by anything on the screen in my life. That was the best five minutes of film that has ever been recorded.

OMG. I just watched the movie and had the same experience with Satin's story. I was glued to the screen and probably did not breathe. What a moving documentary.

I found this film at the Brooklyn Public library.
Here is the link to the tape on their website. The description says it is a DVD but in reality it is a VHS tape.

I have the one copy out now and am just about to watch it. From what I see here it looks like I should enjoy it.

Hope this is helpful.
