Luke Weil is my hero

I have never learned so much from one person. The "We can be decident" speech was a work of art. He truly ripped those stupid night clubs and the people who go. If we all learned a little from Luke Weil the world would be a better place.

There was a bit of genius in what he said, not everything, but in somethings.

The "I don't want to be unz-unzing with Tommy, Mikey and Billy". Luke Weil is a genius. He needs to write a book.

The guy reeks of everything we want to hate about the stinking rich, as he boasts about a four-figure bar bill, or how Brown University let him get away with academic murder, or his disgust for ordinary people. People like Luke Weil dont deserve a cent

He's an a**. And for the first poster at least learn how to spell decadent.

reply

Clearly he is all of these things - smart, perceptive, eloquent, witty, and a total jacka**. It makes for an interesting combination, hence his being the most talked-about character in the film. (well, that and the whole lawsuit thing)

You really, really, REALLY missed the point Johnson was making.

He did have a point though with the "we can be decadent with out going out".

Both he and Cody Franchetti are probably the most polarizing subjects in the film, and for what it’s worth, I’d sooner spend with them than with Stephanie Ercklentz or Georgina Bloomberg, both of whom I found really rather dull. Love them or hate them, at least Weil and Franchetti are fiery.

Since the events of the movie, he got an assault charge (for getting in a fight with a woman he was dating). But after that he straightened himself out, has a job at an investment company, and apologized to Jamie, forgiving each other.
