Beethoven's 6th???

Does anybody know if Universal is going to make a Beethoven's 6th??? I do not care who the Beethoven movies are with for the cast members...I just watch them because I like the dog.

P.S. Can somebody please tell me how many different Saint Bernard dogs they used to make Beethovens 1-5? They must have only used like 3 or 4 dogs to produce them.

Oh No, Please NOOOOOOOOOOO

You know, Beethoven wrote 9 Symphonies.
I hope this is the last one

reply

thats why im glad im not a little kid anymore. how could they poison the minds of children with some of those movies. Those are evil people.

reply

What do you think would be a cool Beethoven 6?

reply

I hope they make more of these...I loved the 1st one as a lil' kid...I can sit down and watch these movies and let go of all pressures...

Let's see, the first cast left after the second one, and now the 'fake-family' cast from the 3rd one has left...may be the producers should take a hint and leave as well

reply

What i would like see in Beethoven's 6th, that's if they do make one, i hope they bring back the original family. With the children grown up fast. I don't know, maybe when Beetoven sees Missy again and this time they become grandparents, their daughter Dolly (The only bitch they had) has puppies. What do you think of that idea?

Actually the producers have left. Notice that Ivan Reitman did not return as executive producer on the films that came after the second movie. In addition, Joe Medjuck and Michael C. Gross did not return as producers, Sheldon Kahn did not return as associate producer, and Gordon Webb did not return as co-producer.

reply

That's one reason why the franchise was put in retirement. Also, Universal Pictures had other films coming out to keep families with children going to the cinemas, and they felt a family dealing with a Saint Bernard needed to go.

reply

Why do you watch them if you dont like them?

reply

please no
those dogs are long dead

Well other st Bernard dogs could play the dog characters. It's just an idea of mine.

How many of you are aware that there was a Beethoven Animated Series? It used to come on Saturday mornings on CBS.

Yeah, I know, I apologize. I'm not really going to shoot the writers, you should already know that. I don't even have access to a real gun. It's just, you know, the Beethoven franchise went to hell after part 2.

They could call it Beethoven's 666th and make it just like Man's Best Friend. Suddenly Beethoven is a genetically engineered military project, he starts eating mailmen and he can turn invisible.

Lol, good one. That might actually be watchable after the first half-hour!

A lot of people tend to ignore the animated series. It came out in 1994, which marked the end of the classic era of Beethoven. Universal already released Little Rascals that year.

NO!!! No more, ever, the movies got bad after the first two, and the second one was a bad movie in itself.
I rate the Beethoven movies;
1st: 8/10
2nd: 6/10
3rd: 2/10
4th: 2/10
5th: 1/10

My uncle belongs to the extras union down there and he was asked to participate in a new Beethoven movie down there. He turned them down but thats a whole different story.

Can't blame him.

It's like Home Alone, the franchise died after the second movie, but at least Home Alone 3 tried its hardest to be watchable.
