Unusually Addictive

This programme scares me something chronic, just how can a show where the only theme is two middle class house searchers guiding people through the property jungle become so compelling? I shouldn’t like this, yet I can’t miss it…It’s slowly becoming my dirty little secret.

My god! This is exactly what I was saying to my boyfriend the other day.

This show is unuassuming, relatively drama-free, and without all the other bells and whistles of a show like 'Extreme Makeover:Home Edition"...yet, it has become a MUST watch program in our household.

I guess there is just something deeply satisfying about being part of the process of buying a home without actually having to lay down your own money.

I'm in Canada, so the show also has the appeal of a travel show for us.

I'll go along with that. Where I think it scores over the rest of the plethora of cheap house-buying shows where it's obvious that the house hunters are only really there to get their ugly mugs on the box and on the odd occasion they do put in an offer, tend to pull out as soon as the camera stops rolling. This takes them all the way. Lives really do change and it's fascinating watching them go on the journey. The chemistry between Phil and Kirsty is also outstanding. A real guilty pleasure, this.

LOL, this is a regular on my V+ box recordings!

Unfortunately I've now added 'selling houses' and 'relocation relocation' to my list!! Not enough hours in the day :(
