Good movie with some exciting action, but...

..some parts really stretched credulity. For example I thought the soldiers and their superiors were WAY too tolerant of both the soldier who was going nuts, as well as the pregnant girl who WAS nuts, and her brother, who was such a real pain in the ass to the whole unit. I would've thought the more senior-ranking officers would have whisked the nutty soldier guy away at the first sign of his repeat trouble-making, and I would have expected them to not allow any of those nearby civilians anywhere near the base facility.

(*Spoilers ahead*)

And the last part, where the soldier-gone-nuts guy was threatening that crowd of onlookers with his rifle (bayonet attached), was truly hilarious: the crowd, instead of dispersing and running for cover, just formed a tight circle around him, as if the fact that he'd already bayonetted one of them didn't seem to pose any danger for them at all!

Yeah, but I can't help but feel that when things aren't really realistic in his movies, they weren't supposed to be. He uses a lot of symbolism in his movies and sometimes it isn't even obvious.
