Being into the hidden messages of cinematography lately, I cannot believe that the blurring of the scenes are just visual effect. Does this hint towards something, as if the rogue soldier that shoots at the coastal guard is just imagination or dead? Or something else?

If you've seen Kim's Bin-Jip, there's the same kind of delicate slip into the realm of supernatural towards the end. I personally think that, as the main character in Bin-Jip becomes a sort of embodiment of unconditional love, here he turns into a spirit of madness and inexplainable cruelty that constantly lingers in the air.
