I`m watching it now and........

It`s not that good. When I bought it earlier today I thought "Whoopie!!!!!!!! A musical starring Anthony Rapp!!!!!!!!!" (because I`m a big RENT fan) But it`s cheap, weird, and they sing off key (all except Anthony Rapp of course) If they took the movie seriusly, had better louder music, and had a better well known cast it would have been a better movie. It seems like a show that would`ve been an off or an off-off broadway show if it were a live show.

all in all I give it 5 out of 10 stars

I heard that in an interview but,I was just disapointed.Like I said when I saw Anthony Rapp was in it I was expecting a big, fun, hilarious musical. Now the ending shocked me I admit but I didn`t know it was a cheap no budget movie.

This film is a strictly independent film, everyone. They literally did all the production in a garage... literally. They also didn't record the musical numbers, instead they had the piano player in the house, playing the music, and having the actors sing as they went along filming. I thought the film was charming enough to get by in my opinion and some of the jokes were... well... fantabulous. Don't expect it to be the greatest film ever or anything.

And it probably wouldn't be off-off broadway if it were a stage musical. Especially when the terms "off broadway" and "off-off broadway" are dependent on the number of seats in a theater and not the production of the show. ^^

Ugh... I'm SOOOO Dissapointed. I'm watching it now too... and it's AWFUL!

Oh, and by the way, Anthony Rapp isn't the ONLY one on key... Jenna Leigh Green (Though she barely has any screen time or singing as the girl who busts her nose) is deffinetely on key, and I saw her as Elphaba in Wicked last weekend... she has a voice JUST as good as Idina Menzel! She and Anthony are so much better than this!!! Why would they do it? Didn't they think it was a bad idea when they saw it was shot on Mini DV tape and they didn't even RECORD THE SONGS?!

Well, they knew it was going to by low budget before they signed on- it wasn't as if they didn't know what they were doing.

I think they probably weren't overly concerned about the low-budget and low-quality of this. They probably decided to do this because they thought it was cute, quirky, and had a fantastic ending. And they would be right. :)

I saw it back in January and I thought I would hate it, but it was actually pretty good. I mean there is some quirky stuff, but that is part of the charm. It was rather fantabulous.

I am watching it right now and I haven't stopped giggling. Netflix recommended this to me, and I am so happy! This music is going on my mp3 immediately! And before watching this, I could not have picked Anthony Rapp out of a lineup.

I agree! I thought this movie was funny and unique! I had a great time watching it... :] It was completely worth it just to see Anthony, but I thought the rest of the cast was fantabulous, too...
