shareI too liked Mermaids. I love any kind of supernatural show, no pun intended! But did anyone else feel left hanging at the end? With June and Randy. And when Diana said it's not over yet.. It's like it just ended, with more questions!
I thought maybe there would be a seauel but after 3 years, it doesn't look like it..
The plot was silly. The only reason I watched it was because of the eye-candy, all plenty of it.
shareYep it was left hanging. i played Daryl in the Movie. This was made in 2003 as a pilot for a TV series BUT not picked up. SO ..... if anyone wants more ... tell your networks .. hey I could do with the work.

Daryl, was a small role BUT the idea was he was to be picked up as the "Comic relief" character in the series. Three scenes really. The short marine biologist who Thinks" Diana" thinks he is hot. scene with dolphins in wet suit. Scene at party. also at the begining of the film he is giving the needle to the sealion that barks in his face! boy did he have fish breath!

it was really such a massive shame it never got picked as a series. such a shame
oh yeah i noticed at the time,,,, was the character name Daryl a reference to the movie Splash? (Madison was played by Daryl Hannah)

shareI thought this move was okay, not great, but definitely not bad. I quite enjoyed it, actually, it was fun, though it wasn't the best movie ever made. The plot was actually quite interesting. I do want a sequel to be made, because I love mermaid movies, and I want to know what happens with June and Randy! :)

They need to make this into a TV-series.
I live in Greece and just watched this on TV here, it would be so much nicer to watch this than the lame Greek series "Mermaids" being shown this year!
