What Kind of Achilles is that?

Guys this movie was alright, they actually covered "Super-stitiousness" from the Iliad like the involvement of Gods and Godesses. Anyway, did you see Achillies in that movie? I hated him more then ever, I liked his character the way the showed him in Troy(2004). Also some guys have been complaining that why did Priam locked up his daughter, in those days, he could have easily presumed that his daughter has gone mad, he shouldn't had done that coz he was her father bla bla, didn't Agamemnon killed his daughter? Wasn't he her father? Helen's father didn't he abondon his daughter? Simple thing is Kings do such things to keep themselves powerful and keep there heads high. Stupid logic though!
And Jeez, how did they show Achilles, that was bad. From the movie Troy I remember his dialogue
"You know whats beyond that beach? Its imortality, take it, its all yours!"
And here,
"oh but I do fight this way". Bastard!

Good things go un-noticed, bad deeds get noticed!

Yup, the miniseries presented him as some sort of terminator, 100% loyal to Achilles, which was not how he was at all. The Achilles of the miniseries had all the depth of a tree stump.

just me,

Ishiagara

As Hector said, honor your gods, love your women, defend your country.

That's exactly the right kind of Achilles. Historically he was a mad animal, as the movie depicts him. Troy (2004) made me actually like the Greeks (for the sake of Brad Pitt) and I shouldn't.

Achilies was the son of a king, he must of been schooled and educated

He was raised as a girl...to prevent him from becoming a warrior..just my $.02

lol yeah, a lot of good that did...

Yeah, but I never visualized him as a psychotic skinhead biker.
