My friends and I have been having this debate. We were trying to decide who we would cast as Helen if we were given the choice. My personal vote went to Petra Nemcova, that gorgeous SI model. She might not be able to act, but she's totally hot and could pass as Greek. Any other suggestions out there?
shareMena Suvari (who I think IS playing Helen in the Bard Pitt version - "Troy") and, either Charlize Thieron, or if she were younger, Kristin Scott-Thomas. That woman is absolutely ehteral.
shareI was very disappointed with Guillory as Helen, but I'm holding out hope for Diane Kruger in Wolfgang Petersen's Troy . If I were given the opportunity to cast Helen, I would without a doubt choose Kate Winslet. She has fair skin and light hair, which is how I always pictured Helen, and I think she greatly resembles Botticelli's Aphrodite. After all, Helen was supposed to be the mortal woman who looked the most like Venus herself.
