Death of Giesa

Great documentary. It made it so hard to have sympathy for Sandro after he shot Giesa. I was confused at the end how they said that she was shot in the head by a police officer, when several witnesses said she was moving on the floor in the struggle after the shots and the images of her being carried away by the fireman show no signs of head injuries. Presumably if you get shot in the head, it would be fairly obvious/there would be a lot of blood.

That bullet may have just grazed her. One of the witnesses said he could tell from her reaction she'd been hit in a vital organ, so presumably Sandro's bullets were the fatal ones.

You can be shot in the head and still survive and even show movement for a period of time after.

Given how botched the police actions were all around here and how untrustworthy they are in that country, it really is impossible to know what exactly happened. The police round would have been the first to hit her, so there's a good chance she would have died no matter what the criminal asswipe did. It's mindblowing the cop missed and hit her instead. No idea how he was never charged with a crime. What shocking ineptitude.

Also worth noting that Sandra likely would have never shot if the cops hadnt botched things at the end. You got a wound up, coked out asshole with his finger on the trigger and a gun to a womans head, and youre going to tackle that man to the ground. Is it any surprise his gun went off? Doesnt excuse it of course and he ultimately is a piece of shit, but its worth saying that the death of this girl may only be indirectly on his hands. The cops caused that scene at the end.

Sandro didn't mean to shoot Geisa.

He got rushed and was being shot at.

The police botched that whole thing and got her killed
