Full Feature?

Does anyone think there is a chance of a feature film ont his being made? It would great if David FIncher directed it, since he came up withthe idea and executive produced...

So any chance?

reply

it would suck as a feature film.

the reason its so great is because its so short, for 5-10 minutes you listen to all this philosophical talk regarding the briefcase, then we find out how important it is and that it could save a country.
as a five minute film, it is the best of the best. as a feature film, that is a weak storyline.

I've always thought about this being able to make a great feature film, perhaps even borrowing some elements from the other Hire films. My idea was this:

A professional driver (a guy who at one point was even a NASCAR driver but then dropped out) gets a well paying job to work for a South or Central American government, delivering important packages and payments (he is chosen because his only loyalty is to the job and his employer and not something else). Despite the money being good, the government there is somewhat totalitarian and a rebellion is rising with even some members of the army going to the rebel's side. When an assassination attempt on the country's president badly wounds one of his internal organs, the driver is sent to pick it up at an airport and deliver it. That can be the place where the duel with the helicopter takes place. Anyway, it gets delivered but the country is falling apart. The airports are under rebel control and the driver must get out of the country, bringing with him a reporter who he met there and who has been badly wounded (as well as being in posession of a number of photographs which implicate the rebels in genocide). Taking his car (he could then use an SUV), he heads for the border to get out.
How about it?

Looking back I see where America is really closed minded- indeed not many in the US follow international motorsports. The issue I have is everything is NASCAR this NASCAR that... why would the driver be a former NASCAR driver when I wouldn't let a NASCAR driver take my kids to the zoo. I would rather have a "professional" be a former GT or Le Mans driver.
