A pleasant surprise

I watched this movie because it was the only thing on the TV to pass the time waiting for the football (soccer) highlights to start. I had low expectations as it was a TV movie: thinks low production values, relatively unknown actors, usually anaemic storyline. Must say I was surprised and quite enamoured of it. I remember McCarthy from his bratpack days, but he seems to have disappeared for the last 20 years, but he carried the part well and I wish I looked that good, considering we're about the same age! Great scenery - big blue skies, mountains, nice autumnal trees. Good acting, engaging plot, although the ending was a bit cheesy. Overall, it was a pleasant surprise and I ended up missing the football.

Anyone else surprised by this movie?

I fall in love again with Andrew McCarthy every time this movie comes on!! He and Teri Polo are so wonderful together....such a sweet story. I can't pass it up if I see it on! Have to watch that scene where they dance at the wedding to Cowgirl's Rodeo!

And I saw Teri Polo interviewed once, on Hallmark channel, and she says this was one of her favorite movies she made!! That makes me like it even more!!
